Nord Modular G2 Be free and create your personal sounds in module style. I decided on the 2X. It sounds alot more lively and animated. The Lead 3, I didn't care for at all. And now Nord has discontinued the 3, so if you needed to get a new motherboard or something your s.

I'm very happy with the Rack 2X, if compliments the TI very well. It's extremely easy to program, 4 part multi timberal, and kicks alot of ass. Hope I was of some help. Nord has discontinued the 3, so if you needed to get a new motherboard or something your s.

Where does it say the Nord Lead 3 is discontinued? The clavia web site doesn't mention this at all! And no effects Looks like my cash will be paying off the mortgage like it should ; Cheers, B. I asked clavia's support about whether the NL3 was discontinued or not and they said it really was but some dealers still have stock. Anyway, I'm gonna buy the nord rack 2x later this spring. I had it, as everyone else will keep saying the interface and knobs esp are beautiful, the sounds to me were ok ish, I was trying to fill the void my Virus T had left when sold it, and by far the NL3 was not up to it There seems to be a trend here.

I had and sold my NL3 too. The guy that sold it to me, sold it because he thought he could do anything the NL3 could with softsynths. The interface is great, but the sound wasn't anything to awe at. I think I would agree that softsynths with good preamps of course would be more flexible in the long run. I agree with everything said so far. The interface is the selling point ov this synth. I do disagree with the comment about the NL3 producing good bass sounds, it can do bass but its nothing like, say, a Virus KC.

I used to play synthbass for a synthpunk band and I ended up trading the NL3 for a Virus KC because ov its lack ov low-end. That aside, the NL3 is certainly a well-designed synth.

My Studio. Amazing interface, cold sound. Dave Ramirez uses it "the NL3" for a lot of his trade mark bass lines. I was comparing it to my NL2 which sounds more coarse. If I was looking for bass I would use my nord modular over any of the leads but that doesn't mean they're incapable. You have good taste my friend.

I'd like to see the ergonomics. Clavia took the NL3 off the market and reissued the NL2. That alone should say something, I think. I Had a NL-3 for a around three months, then Sold It!

Sound is the 1st and most important factor it's a musical instrument after all , not a control surface. Log in Register. Search titles only. Search Advanced search…. New posts. Search forums. Log in. Install the app. JavaScript is disabled.
